Before he could make a fool of himself, he forced himself to nod, clearing his throat before he spoke. “Uh, yeah. Soon. Sounds nice.”
Beomgyu laughed and began to walk off, giving him one last wave before disappearing into the empty hallways. Yeonjun was left standing there by himself, stunned, before rushing out of the building as soon as possible. Maybe he had finally lost his mind.

Yeonjun did not believe in fairytales.
Not truly.
He could enjoy the illusion, lose himself for two hours in a film where heartbreak was mended with a grand gesture, where words always landed right and love always won. But at the end of the day, when the credits rolled and the screen went dark, reality crept back in like smoke under a door.
It ended the same every time for him: the truth that was Soobin utterly despising him being plunged back into his mind without mercy.

Two years after their breakup, Choi Yeonjun is appalled when he finds the song that his ex, Choi Beomgyu, wrote about him is playing everywhere he goes, unable to escape it.
or alternatively;
Lilies.
That is the name of his ex’s new song. Yeonjun finds it funny, really, because lilies are not even Beomgyu’s favourite flowers. He remembers clearly that Beomgyu’s favourite flowers are Forget-Me-Nots. He adored dainty pretty things back then. Perhaps, his favourite flowers have changed to lilies now.
Yeonjun has no idea, really, and he does not want to care or think about it. It has been two years since they broke up. He is over it. Whichever flower Beomgyu decides to name his song is frankly none of his business. Yet, it is difficult to shove it out of his mind when all he hears these days is that song.

Yeonjun laughed, head tilting. “You liked it.”
“I tolerated it.”
“Liar,” Yeonjun’s grin widened. “You were the one cheering loudest.”

Soobin’s ears went red. “That was the people behind me, hyung.”
“Mmhm,” Yeonjun tapped the ice with his blade, the sound sharp and teasing. “Come on. Get in here.”
