Tim keeps his head down and just slowly eats his food as he is actively fighting the urge to fall asleep. He cannot focus on what his family is talking about around him but he decides to not concern them and nod along.
He is starting to fall asleep now as he has food in his mouth mid chew. But he can’t fall asleep because that would seem rude.
He can’t be rude.
His parents tried to raise him better than that.
Tim's face feels like it’s burning up. He hears a loud buzzing sound ringing through his ears.
Tim stays in his own mind for a while feeling stuck.

OR: When Ilya has an away game in Montreal, he often stays with Shane at his apartment instead of the team hotel. But when Centaurs rookie Luca Haas gets a concussion during the game and has to be monitored overnight, Ilya makes the call to bring Luca with him.
