“It did?” he asks, almost laughing at the absurdity. Until he feels the sharp pain of her fingernails digging through his clothes. “It did,” he corrects, teeth clenched. “For me as well.”

But what was she supposed to say when Wesker offered her to do, what? To crash a wealthy mansion party and complete an easy assignment? Was she supposed to say no to that?
