“I wish that were a lie; that I love you miserably and forever, but it’s not,” she confesses quietly as she stares down at the floor. “It’s the truth and I— I wish it wasn’t.”

Marinette groaned.
For both years Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Adrien Agreste had done class photos, when they were 14 and when they were 15, Adrien and Marinette were near identical in height. The trusty old back-to-back check hadn't cut it. It was just one of those mysteries that would never be solved, like how Monarch could possibly launch eight akumas in three hours or when Andre Bourgeois would ever be kicked out of office.
But in the past year, Adrien had grown massively. An embarrassing amount more than Marinette. If Marinette stood to his back this year, she'd be like a gnome next to a prince. Weird. Kind of like someone else she knew.
