Summary
Jayce craves being useful, being good. When the opportunity arises to allow himself to feel that, through some of Viktor's old connections, he jumps at the chance.
And if that chance is him being used by three strangers as his lover watches with sharp eyes, giving directions with an even sharper tongue, then that's nobody's business but their own.

Jayce's mind slowly unravels in the fissure, and yet his only constant is, always, Viktor.
Viktor, who he sees in every ripple in the water, in every flickering of the fire. Viktor, who reminds Jayce of his every failure with sharp words that leave Jayce gasping apologies at the air. Viktor, who still looks so pretty it makes Jayce's mind hazy, his lips part, his eyes wide.
Or: Jayce tries to find a moment of respite from the suffering in the cave. He does so by chasing his own pleasure, as he thinks of his beautiful partner.
