Summary
Jiang Cheng looks down at his hands, into the soft auburn tea swirling in his cup. And he thinks, perhaps, he’s been poisoned. He’s not quite sure when it happened, or who might have done it, but he has to have been given something because there’s no conceivable way he would have confessed one of the deepest, well-kept secrets he’s been keeping for years for no other reason than one of the last surviving Jiang elders asking an offhand question about Jiang Cheng’s marriage prospects.

Summary
Jin Rusong is dying.
She had had an inkling for a while now, like an itch she’d been trying hard not to scratch. But then, one day she chanced to overhear her husband — dear, caring, perfect Guangyao — in an intense discussion about murder and demonic cultivation with a creepy young boy who sounded as if he took altogether too much pleasure in the idea of causing others pain. Ultimately, she turned out to have been a walking cliche — the naive wife who is the last to find out the skeletons in her husband’s cupboard. Literally, it seems.
(Or, the one in which Qin Su has finally had enough.)

Summary
In the wake of Jin Guangyao and Nie Mingjue's deaths, Lan Xichen discovers that he won't be left alone to rot, no matter how badly he wishes for it.
Xichen wakes up on a Tuesday morning and realizes he doesn’t clearly remember the last four months, three weeks, and two days of his life. There is before the accident, and there is the accident, flashes of the hospital, the police, and… this morning. There must have been funerals, but there's an empty space where any ritual could be.
Xichen wakes up, and the world is in color again. He hadn’t even realized he was viewing it in greyscale.

Summary
Jiang Cheng raised a hand and skimmed it up Wei Wuxian’s arm. Purple fabric. One of his. He brought his hand to the side of his neck, tilting Wei Wuxian’s head back with the slightest press of a thumb under his jaw. “Tell me, or return to your rooms. We don’t have to do this.” The one thing they surely both knew was how not to talk about something. But after all these years Jiang Cheng was tired of words unspoken between them. He was ready to try something new; he could only hope Wei Wuxian was too.
Wei Wuxian returns to Lotus Pier.

Summary
There was silence for a long, tense moment before Wen Ning finally raised his head, only to find Jiang Cheng was also refusing to look at him, his arms crossed and his face red. Wen Ning couldn’t help but smile, remembering this Jiang-gongzi was still two years younger than he himself was. He opened his mouth to say something, but Jiang Cheng interrupted.
“I don’t need your pity,” he mumbled, not even looking in Wen Ning’s direction.
Wen Ning breathed for a few minutes, and then told him sincerely, “I’m not here out of pity. I just wanted to make sure you were okay. You know, like friends do.”
Jiang Cheng stared at him for a long moment. “Are we…friends?”
“Are–” Wen Ning hesitated, measuring his words. “Do you want to be, Jiang-gongzi?”
“...”
For a moment, Wen Ning worried Jiang Cheng was going to say no , which would have been– well, very awkward.
“Sure.”
