Pa-tro-clus, emphasis on the middle syllable instead of the first. Achilles had said Pat-ro-clus on purpose.
“Right,” he says. “We have a few classes together, I think. Mrs Demeter’s fifth period biology?”
Patroclus is staring at him like a deer caught in the headlights. “Yeah, I think so. Maybe. Can’t remember.”
Achilles gives him a frown, but it’s not really genuine.
“I can’t remember if we share the same class,” Patroclus corrects. “That’s what I meant. I know what classes I have.”
(Achilles is memorable. He’s the kind of guy that lets everyone know when he walks into a room.
So what the fuck does this kid mean he doesn’t remember? Achilles remembers him, so why doesn’t Patroclus remember him in turn?)

Summary
The Anastasia (1997) au that ACTUALLY no one asked for.
Memories presented themselves hazily and randomly when Henry least expected. These brief recollections were very frustratingly the largest key he had to finding his past; which he had long forgotten after he was taken to an orphanage as a young boy after being found wandering alone with no idea of who he was. All he wanted was to find out who he was and where he belonged.
Alexander Claremont-Diaz considered himself an opportunist. He didn't get the underground reputation of “Greatest Conman in London” with his charming nature alone, which his partner in literal crime, Nora, constantly reminded him of. When rumors began to surface around the nation that the youngest royal son, James, may have escaped death ten years after a violent uprising resulted in the murder of most of the royal family, Alex felt no guilt for seeing the situation's potential. Especially when the only (confirmed) remaining member of the Fox-Mountchristen-Windsor clan, Princess Beatrice, offered a cash reward in exchange for the return of her beloved brother.
Tldr; In 1940s London, Henry is a lost prince and Alex is an oblivious disaster that does the right thing accidentally.

LolWhat annoyed him the most though, was how Henry just fucking waltzed in and was immediately appointed Head of Comms. Classic rich privileged, possible nepo-baby got a brand new leadership position created exclusively for him. It doesn’t help that Henry also just hangs out with Pez. He maintained a perfectly hollow smile around Alex like he’d rather be anywhere else. Everyone fawned over him and his bland clothes and bland conversations. Alex hated it. He wanted to get under Henry's skin to prove that he was just like the rest of them. Like Alex, not all pressed and perfect.

Henry tells Alex about his family, how his dad was in movies until he got sick. How his sister is his best friend, but his brother is annoying. He’s not even sure if his dad is still alive- he didn’t have much time to begin with. Alex tells Henry about his parents constantly fighting. He’s sure they’re headed for divorce, but Alex was the only reason they put up with each other. He talks about June, everything she’s done for him, and their friend Nora who just moved in down the street. Alex learns that Henry is from London, but was only in Texas because there was a specialist here who could help his dad.
“I’m sure we won’t be here much longer. My mom has a lot of connections- she works at the capitol.”
Henry just smiles a bit sadly. “I’m sure they’ll find us,” he whispers.
