He felt numb and empty as he stared at the letter, his fist closing around the parchment to crush it as his eyes filled with tears.
His lips went dry when he tried to stifle a pained grunt as the tears ran over his cheeks. They felt warm as they coated his skin slowly, his stomach nauseous. It felt as if someone punched him in the gut and sucked his soul out.
Hawke was dead.
The statement felt heavy as it sunk in. He dropped onto his knees, barely feeling the hard ground underneath him at the collision. It couldn't be true. Hawke had been in so many fights over the years and always emerged victorious out of the most impossible situations.
A man like him couldn't die. He shouldn't die.
He wouldn't accept this. He couldn't. Hawke couldn’t be dead, he wouldn't allow it. Which left him with two choices.
He could either follow his wrath-filled mind, find his way to the Inquisition and face the ones responsible.

The fact that Gale and Astarion, two men who had seemingly done nothing but bicker any time they were paired together, were sneaking off with each other in the middle of the night gave Halsin a great curiosity indeed.So he stands from his chair and carefully makes his way to the storeroom. Making sure to bump into no one, to make as little as noise as possible- hoping that no one would notice him walking to the storeroom as well.
