Summary
Epiphyllum; a fleetingly flowering desert bloom and brief lesson on how nothing good lasts - however lucky one might've been to observe it from the first.
It isn’t enough. Even as you choke, you feel the blood clinging to you still and you realize: the sin is more than just on you, it’s in you. Your nails break against your chest plate as you claw it off. The cumbersome metal sinks. A distant part of your mind wonders how your shoulders had borne its burden as the black blood rises, coating the pond’s surface like simmering oil. Your knees suddenly buckle and you find yourself descending the same, the heaviness of your chest enough to plunge you for leagues.
And in the icy stillness of the water, it all goes away.

Summary
Emet-Selch has spent eons avoiding and indulging in Azem's shards. Some are much like him, tearing open Emet's gaping wound once more with their unconscious similarities. Others, if it was not for the glowing ocher of their soul, he would eschew the implication that they could ever be one in the same. Then there are times, separate from the shards themselves, when Emet does not care one way or another. He simply aches.
Beckett nods into the crook of the stranger’s neck; it is incomprehensible, the ache that boils in his chest like an apocalyptic sea. Needy, he angles his hips up to feel the press of Emet’s length against his sensitive bundle of nerves. His muscles curl with mouthwatering sweetness and he moans with shameless abandon as he professes –

Summary
“I found myself grinning until my cheeks hurt, my scalp prickling till I thought it might lift off my head. My tongue ran away from me, giddy with freedom. This, and this, and this, I said to him. I did not have to fear that I spoke too much. I did not have to worry that I was too slender, or too slow. This and this and this!”
― Madeline Miller, The Song of AchillesAzem returns from another adventure and bothers Hades.

Summary
The gift of new love is presented; be open to receiving this gift from the divine.
He turned, feeling the warmth of Syrion’s gaze on the back of his neck like the last rays at dusk. He would remember it; the Halonic presence of Astromancy, the tongue-in-cheek manner of a man nearly known, the humility magick and knowledge evoked in their witness. As Aymeric began down the slope, he held it all close to his chest, knowing that his blooming fascination had elicited a great change in him. He welcomed it, the lesson slipping down his throat like creme.

Summary
There's no longer a mane of hair on Fen'Harel's scalp to grab him by, so Elgar'nan compensates by squeezing the man's jaw, forcing it upwards until the neck tendons strain. "Strength is might. Strength is all. With enough power you can rearrange the universe until all your enemies are subsumed unto you. This is why your petty rebellions have always failed, Dread Wolf, and always will. My inevitability will not be denied," he declares.
And unfastens, one-handed, his belt.
Fen'Harel barks out a bitter laugh. "Even in this you force your way! Tyranny has poisoned your soul beyond what any Corruption could achieve, Evanuris. And far beyond redemption."
"Empty words," Elgar'nan says, unimpressed, "make for a flimsy shield."

Summary
He felt numb and empty as he stared at the letter, his fist closing around the parchment to crush it as his eyes filled with tears.
His lips went dry when he tried to stifle a pained grunt as the tears ran over his cheeks. They felt warm as they coated his skin slowly, his stomach nauseous. It felt as if someone punched him in the gut and sucked his soul out.
Hawke was dead.
The statement felt heavy as it sunk in. He dropped onto his knees, barely feeling the hard ground underneath him at the collision. It couldn't be true. Hawke had been in so many fights over the years and always emerged victorious out of the most impossible situations.
A man like him couldn't die. He shouldn't die.
He wouldn't accept this. He couldn't. Hawke couldn’t be dead, he wouldn't allow it. Which left him with two choices.
He could either follow his wrath-filled mind, find his way to the Inquisition and face the ones responsible.
Or he could march into the fade himself to drag Hawke out.- Language:

With Kirkwall on the brink of ruin and Danarius prowling in the shadows, Anders must free Fenris before everything comes tumbling down around them.
