Summary
Set four months after the Tsunami. Buck never files the lawsuit, but he is still trying to get back to work. He has been struggling over the past four months and learning that Bobby was the reason he has been denied throws him over the edge. He has no choice but to put in for a transfer. Only the 169 is far from the loving environment that is the 118. Buck is determined to better himself and his career. All he has to do is handle adjusting to the new firehouse and the rules. Only Captain Hall isn’t just keeping those rules to the firehouse. When he blackmails Buck into performing sexual acts on him, Buck is left with feeling like he has no choice but to do as he is told. Especially if he wants to keep being a firefighter. But when it all gets to be too much for him, the 118 will have to work harder than they ever have before to rescue one of their own from themselves. It’s the hardest rescue any of them will ever face.

Buck thought going back to the 118 would be hard, but he knew that his team, his family, would move on from the lawsuit. Only Bobby placed him on B-Shift where his team and new Captain have made it their mission to make Buck's life a living hell. When it becomes too much and Buck starts thinking about ending it all, he receives a life-changing phone call from Captain Owen Strand who would like Buck to come join them down in Austin at the 126. Buck immediately jumped at the opportunity to get away from everything. Only his mental health problems didn't go away with the move and Buck struggles with what happened and how to start a whole new life. The 126 are not about to let him go through this alone and together they show Buck that he has a family with them and they would never turn their backs on him.

Summary
Evan "Buck" Buckley has been doing everything he can to hang out with a certain Tommy Kinard with little success. He feels like his luck is turning for the better, though, when Eddie invites him to the karaoke bar trivia night that he and Tommy are going to next Wednesday.
EXCERPT:
“Me?” said Buck, maybe a little too quickly; a little too eagerly, but Eddie didn’t seem to notice, “Uh, yeah, no. I’m – I’m free. Uh, totally free. Wednesday is a clean slate.”
What would Tommy wear to a fun night of karaoke trivia?
A button-down?
Would button-downs fit him or would those buttons be enticingly barely hanging on, showing peaks of skin if he wasn’t careful? Tommy’s butt had looked great in jeans before. Buck wondered if Tommy would be in jeans again.
“Great. I need someone to be on my team,” explained Eddie like it was this whole thing that he had talked about with Tommy and Buck kind of wished he was there to see how Tommy was when he talked about a whole thing, “It was going to be Tommy and me, but apparently, a friend of his invited himself to trivia. Can you believe that?”
Buck.

Summary
What if Chimney didn't just punch Buck? What if he was so blinded by his own rage and desperate need to find Maddie that he injures Buck far deeper than a single punch? And surprisingly he has some help from someone he least expected, Tommy Kinard, who has become a lifesaver to both Buck and Eddie. But when Chimney is arrested and Jee-Yun is placed in Buck's custody, can Tommy and Eddie manage to keep Buck from drowning? Or will Eddie finally lose his best friend? And will Tommy lose the man that he quickly fell in love with? And just how long will it take for Buck to realize that he was madly in love with Tommy? One thing is for certain, this new family was in for some serious turbulence.
