Summary
Rodolfo is left in charge of the base in Las Almas while Alejandro goes out for Valeria. They're ambushed by some group of terrorists loyal to Hassan and Rudy is forced to ask for backup. Ghost, Soap, and some other soldiers are sent to their aid and finish the job. They all celebrate afterward and get drunk as hell, each of them making their own mistakes.

Rodolfo can't get Alejandro and Simon can't have Soap, so they settle for each other and share drinks, because why not.

"Because-" his beast growled in warning but Rudy pressed on. He was tired of this fight, tired of healing his broken heart only for it to beat even stronger for Alejandro. "It's a part of me. I need you to see it because I love you, Ale." It was out now, no turning back. "And as much as I live for the hope that you'd love me back, you can't."
"How could you decide that for me?" Rudy turned and chanced a look at his friend. Alejandro's face was shattered, eyes wide and wet. Pain was writ across every inch of his face.
Rudy sighed into his hands, scrubbing them up and through his hair before dropping them to his sides. This conversation was happening at the worst time and it was going to change their relationship forever. It no longer felt like it would change for the better.
