Summary
“Now that you've lost Rose, what would you do to have another day with her? What would you do to have another day with Donna?”
The Doctor’s jaw clenched as the older Doctor spoke. They were questions he didn’t trust himself to think about. He’d come close to doing something irreversible so many times.
“I thought so,” his older self said. “Don’t you dare judge me when you are me.”
The arrival of a grief-stricken Tenth Doctor on the Twelfth Doctor's TARDIS forces both Doctors and Clara to confront the Doctor's chronic loss of companions.

Summary
“You’re really awake,” says MJ. Her voice cracks and, to Gwen’s astonishment, MJ begin to sob—huge, full body weeps. Gwen wonders if she’s still asleep. “Jeez louise, girlie. I can’t believe you’re really awake.”
“Why wouldn’t I be?” she rasps out, and there’s some more pain—her throat is raw and unpracticed. “Did I die? I kinda feel like I died. Or like I should have.”
Or: Gwen Stacy falls and that's just the beginning.

Summary
A collection of paper tumbled out of the record sleeve and onto the coffee table. Parchment of varying quality, scraps torn from lined notebooks; some folded into pocket-sized squares, others rolled into tight scrolls. Remus’s hands shook as he sifted through them.

In 1987, Remus finds the letters Sirius never sent to him, and loses what little hope he had of moving on.

Summary
That Saturday morning at the grocery store, Martha didn’t look twice at the tall man in plaid trousers standing in front of the milk cases like he had a dire decision to make. She said, “Excuse me,” and edged past him to grab a carton of oat milk.
As she went back to her trolley, she saw the man turn in the corner of her eye, and then a voice straight from her memories said, “Sorry, I—no way. Martha Jones, is that you?”
(Exactly what it says on the tin.)

You wonder if your need and your desire was big enough to split the universe open, to fracture across two worlds until you bled through.

Hands touch your face, fingers pressing against your throat to find the beat of your pulse. You have not allowed yourself touch for many moons now, not like this, nothing so tender. If you trace your palms you should be able to find crescents shaped like scythes where your nails dug into flesh as thousands of volts of pain coursed through you; as you dug into ice, gripping with all your might. All burned away now, nothing so familiar left behind.
the one where the doctor dies in "the end of time" and is transported into the metacrisis doctor 😩😩😩 and it's a mess!!!!!!!!!! (art)
