Summary
“This was not a fight with a strong opponent. It was a struggle with himself.”
Ajax, a fourteen-year-old boy from Morepesok, had all the dreams of becoming a great adventurer like his father when he was younger and conquering all the landscapes he had never seen before.
But when he finally decides to leave the boredom of home and set out on his first real journey to turn the wheel of destiny, fate itself punishes him for defying it. It sets him on the path to a fateful encounter that will change his life forever, and which will separate him from his family for years to come.
But can the strayed warrior find his way home again? Or will he wander forever in the darkness? The story is based on the backstory of Childe/Tartaglia, a playable character in Genshin Impact, to which I have added my ideas and theories, as well as a conflict lurking deep within the story.

Summary
Skirk’s legacy is a delicate thing in a sturdy way. It contradicts itself, creates unsolvable paradox after paradox, and leaves the smell of smoke to trail behind it. There is a high that comes with its use, a moment where you feel like you’re capable of anything—and with each and every high comes a crash. A moment where you grip your chest and choke out blood and question whether this sensation will be your last.
It drags along unwanted memories and erases the ones you’re not sure are better or worse.
It was created through death and a need for survival and used to take revenge, to cleanse this world of its undeniable impurities.
It’s foul, in some sense. The Eleventh of the Fatui Harbingers would argue that the power it bestows is anything but.
(The last of the Tsaritsa’s Chosen, and the fated misfortune that comes with their rise to power.)
