Summary
The raven-haired man sighs and pinches the bridge of his nose.
"Listen, Edward, or Alphonse, or whoever you are today - I'm going to tell you something you won't like. If I thought you were beyond help I would treat you as such, but from time to time I see moments of clarity in your eyes. I'm going to take a chance and run with it here, alright? So bear with me as I attempt to reinstate your sanity.
"And please - " he adds, gesturing to the shattered water glass surrounding his feet, "try to refrain from any more of that."

Summary
"Al," whispered Winry, "Show me the sky."
Al took a deep breath and closed his eyes.
"The sun looks like a brilliant, gleaming coin sinking into shades of orange, harvest gold and a blast of lilac. The stars are shyly peeking out from the whipped cream clouds littered across the heavens, shining brightly in the dusk sky and twinkling like white sparks of a flame."
And the spark that lit her eyes was brilliant...

Summary
Thomas comes swaggering in out of the dark with your dinner, and something else in his other hand. “Pa gave it to me as an early gift,” he says, holding up the flask. “Now I’m man enough to drink, he said.”
“What’s in it?” you ask, leaving your stew for the moment.
“Whisky.” Thomas tosses the flask, and you catch it. “Tell me if you like it.”
You've heard it said that most farmhands fall in love with the farmer's daughter, but in this case, it's his son who catches your eye.

Summary
Ed and Al have a secret, one that they have kept with them for their entire existence, one that could put them in jeopardy if they're ever found out. Inhuman abilities that set them above—and instill fear in—the ordinary person.
Roy is one of the few non-gifted individuals to whom they have entrusted their secret, but trust is a thing that is so easily broken.
