There’s a sharp blow to his face, the blunt force adding yet another crook to his nose. He stumbles backward, dizzy, and falls on his ass. Roy shakes the fog from his vision and smears the blood seeping from his nostrils against the back of his hand. He licks his lips, swallows his own blood, and grins.
“C’mon, baby,” his smile is bloodied and borderline insane. “You can hit me harder than that.”
Haven't you heard? Fighting is the greatest form of foreplay. At least, that’s what Roy and Jade said.

Jean blows hot air out of her nose. Her fingers curl around the steering wheel until her knuckles are alabaster. Green eyes flutter shut as she takes a deep breath, then they are fixed upon Ororo, intense and unwavering as she says:

As Mel surveys the chaotic scene, it occurs to her then that she doesn’t actually know what the mercenary looks like. All the soldier had to offer her was a vague description: a black eyepatch and tattoos. There must be thousands of Noxian soldiers and mercenaries alike that fit that exact description. Mel sighs internally. At least she has a name—

Any passersby would take her for a Noxian elite, what with her expensive furs and fabrics, but the unmistakable silver lines painted over her eyes told Mel everything.

Eyes puffy, bloodshot, and smeared with black makeup but a vibrant green all the same, not a single strand of dark hair out of place, and tan skin glowing with a hint of sparkling highlighter. The resemblance is uncanny. But it’s not the near-identical features that spark that sense of familiarity.
