No doubt Gorou was under a lot of stress with the oppressive force against his Resistance, but the arrival of reinforcements- the arrival of Kazuha— was supposed to ease his nerves. It didn’t, however, because his old friend made a part of him feel on edge. Not in the way an impending attack did, but in a way that he couldn’t explain and was not excited to revisit. Something about Kazuha’s serene wit and pretty voice…
Gorou was a young general leading an entire resistance against an Archon. He didn’t have time for fickle matters such as crushes. The very idea made him scrunch up his nose in embarrassment.
But after a victorious battle, he could indulge in a bit of fantasy tonight, right?-----
Gorou and Kazuha are reunited in the midst of war, and spend a night together.

The realization of how desperately Felix wants to see Sylvain in this moment, right now, as he's bruising his shoulder against yet another unmovable door, how much he needs to find him breathing, needs to find him here, needs to find him unburied, hammers at the walls of Felix's awareness like it means to break them. He's been ignoring for months now, with wild success, the incoming sucker punch that is the magnitude of Sylvain’s importance to him. If he never had time for it at the Academy, he certainly didn't have time for it at war. Edelgard and her armies were bearing down. He would deal with it later. Tomorrow. Soon.

“Don’t be ridiculous,” a frown pulls at Albedo’s mouth; one of faint annoyance and painful internal struggle. “Anyone in their right mind would turn down such an offer. He doesn’t even know me.”
“Well, I don’t know how to tell you this, buddy,” not your buddy, Albedo echoes, because while he’s familiar with Kaeya Alberich, he barely tolerates the man at times, “but if you ever find it in yourself to get your adorable button nose out of that sketchbook and point it towards the table over there, you might find that you’ve sorely miscalculated.”
True to his word, the golden-haired boy is looking their way.
Albedo prides himself for his ability to stay aloof; however, it might take a single accidental meeting to permanently alter that course of thought.
