Summary
As part of Targaryen tradition, each member of the royal family is gifted a petrified dragon egg to take with them everywhere. When a Targaryen falls ill or is injured, eggs will be placed in the fire closest to the fallen dragon, in hopes that their magic may heal the Prince/Princess.
Baelor Targaryen wakes a week after the Trail by Seven, while his condition isn't as bad as the maesters had feared, it's still not ideal. Also four of the five dragon eggs that were placed in his hearth hatch.

Summary

Egg has other ideas on the best way to keep his baby cousin safe, and with Valarr and Matarys recovering from their illness in Summerhall, Egg hatches a plan to bring Dunk and Baelor together, and to give Lori the family he deserves.

When this story begins Jena is 18, Baelor is 20, Maekar is 19. An important plot point will appear from GRRM’s The Hedge Knight novella, however a new deviation will be included after that.
