If Valarr was the firstborn, the bursting pride of Baelor Targaryen, and Matarys, the lastborn, his fragile little hope, Aenar Targaryen was his secondborn child - his simple joy - torn away too soon.
His murder - for Baelor could hardly call it anything else despite the desperate hopes and fervent prayers of his lady wife to recover a boy, not a body - had broken the tentative peace that had been reached after the First Blackfyre Rebellion, and had earned Baelor his name as both Breakspear and Hammer.

As part of Targaryen tradition, each member of the royal family is gifted a petrified dragon egg to take with them everywhere. When a Targaryen falls ill or is injured, eggs will be placed in the fire closest to the fallen dragon, in hopes that their magic may heal the Prince/Princess.
Baelor Targaryen wakes a week after the Trail by Seven, while his condition isn't as bad as the maesters had feared, it's still not ideal. Also four of the five dragon eggs that were placed in his hearth hatch.
