Deep down, a part of Beomgyu wilts, withers. As badly as he’d like to pretend it doesn’t affect him, it stings, anyway.

“Can’t believe we went hours without this,” Soobin muses. “We were so quiet today.”
“Was it a boring day, hyung?” Beomgyu teases, sitting on Soobin’s lap. His fingers fiddle with Soobin’s necklace, the small silver pendant resting prettily on his skin. Beomgyu got it for him on his birthday last year, and Soobin wears it everywhere he goes. Come to think of it, Beomgyu has never seen him take it off.
“Nonsense.” Soobin smiles, something soft and tender. “I never have boring days when I’m with you, Beomgyu.”
Or: Beomgyu and Soobin run into a misunderstanding. They patch things up.
