Summary
Manhattan Cafe was forced into the position of Agnes Tachyon's caretaker. At first, she hated the role. Why did she have to look after such a troublesome girl?
But, as time passed, Cafe found herself growing to understand her. And as she grew to understand her, she started to treat her kinder. She indulged in Tachyon's whims, as long as the probability of someone getting hurt was low. Cafe decided to stand by her side, without anyone asking her to do so.
And thus, Tachyon grew to be fond of Cafe. She grew to be extremely fond of Cafe.

But one time Mydei stumbles upon it on accident and thinks Phainon is seeing someone, jumps to the conclusion that all his chances are out the window… Only for said chances to throw themselves back in when he walks into Phainon’s room to relay and errand and sees him in said clothes.

Summary
Phainon pesters Mydei to do a “training exchange” with him. Mydei reluctantly agrees, only to find himself lying on the ground with Phainon leaning over him.
“You know,” Phainon says casually, “back when I used to train with the other Okheman guards, I’d do this with them all the time.”
Mydei narrows his eyes. “With the other guards?”
“Yeah,” Phainon replies. “They’d always help me check my form and give me advice.”
For some reason, he steps over Mydei’s body, placing his feet just above either side of his hips. “They’d lie down over here, like you, just to make sure I was doing it right.”
Mydei’s eyes widen. “What do you—”
And then Phainon bends his knees and lowers himself, all the way down. He stops right above Mydei’s groin, and it’s close, so close that the heat from his body is almost palpable, but still out of reach.
“With them under me, watching… I’d move up, and down, up, and down…”
He shifts his hips as he says it, moving in slow, deliberate rolls.
Then, leaning in just a little, he drops his voice to a low whisper, knowing Mydei can hear every word. “And I’d say thank you when I came down on them… every single time.”

Summary
As a broke young adult, Phainon was slowly going insane filing job applications. With each rejection or ignored application on his end, he knew he was running out of time to find some way to pay his bills. His roommate and parents couldn't cover for him forever. In the midst of his desperation, his close friend Castorice gives him another option - becoming a sugar baby. Desperation and trust in his friends leads Phainon to join the strange app that Castorice mentions to him and eventually, right as he's about to give up on the app, it leads him to Mydei.
Being paid to just exist wasn't what Phainon had expected when he met Mydei. It did give him a good excuse to ask his unfairly attractive sugar daddy out on dates though.

Phainon’s eyes remind him of mountain lakes. A pristine blue, blindingly illuminated by the sun and surrounded by untainted snow.
A sight that he has yearned for but dared not to approach.
Fuck this. This has to be Zagreus’ doing.
Mydei reunites with his childhood crush at university. Even worse? They're roommates.

“They are,” Mydei said, turning back to the stove. “You’re just dramatic.”

“You’re hovering.”
“I’m observing.”
“You’re in the way.”
Phainon grinned, entirely unrepentant.
Mydei sighed—deep, exaggerated, clearly fake—and gently nudged him aside with his hip. “Go set the table before I put you to work.”
“Oh no,” Phainon deadpanned. “Responsibility.”

Brown eyes meet green in the darkness of the room, illuminated only by the streetlights leaking from behind the curtain. And she thought for sure Charlie would pull away but she doesn't, only blinking a few times, as if to assure herself of what she sees.
Elizabeth doesn't move an inch, letting Charlie's eyes adjust to the darkness and her mind to being awake.
It takes her only a moment before she's meeting Elizabeth's emerald eyes again, and she finally breaks their silence.
"Hey." It's small, quietly whispered in the confines of the bed they share. But Elizabeth feels like the room is a thousand times brighter for it.
