Something unfaithful and wrong happens between the two men that very night in the forest, and they couldn’t get that feeling off their chests ever since. The both of them were bloodthirsty desperate for the warmth of feeling loved to the point their hearts and minds were basically pressuring them to ‘do it’. And absolutely nothing in the word would change the fact that what he did was a mortal sin. Infidelity against the eyes of God.
If anyone finds out about this, they'd get looked upon with digust. They know that. They'd be disgraced and get dethroned from their honors.
The both of them know they’re already promised to another one, but all of this feels so wrong and… forced in such a cruel way… for the sake of their kingdoms as well. An invisible string pulls them away and away from each other gradually driven by fate’s flow, as if destiny was bound to do this to the both of them.
Their time was only ephemeral. They spend their remaining time with each other in secrecy. Away from their lovers. Away from everyone.
