    All of his life had been painful. Remus couldn’t even grasp the possibility of having a willing soulmate because of how much they suffered. Apparently neither had his, leaving them both in a state of limbo as they waited for life to bring them some kind of relief or happiness. One accepts it isn’t going to happen though, and finally gives himself over to acceptance. Something he’d always thought he’d been, but turned out he wasn’t as he fights to help them be okay.
