“Oh…”
It was a little exaltation caused Neville to look up from his sketching. His blue eyes met bright green ones as he took in Harry Potter. It had been years since he had seen the man up close. He was still the same, small wiry-framed man, only now he was greying at the temples. He was dressed casually in light flannel, worn jeans and trainers. A little flush decorated his cheeks. Neville usually had a good amount of time in the morning to sketch the particular flora that grew naturally near the greenhouses. Especially now, given that the term was over. Neville had been looking forward to the early quiet hours now that the students had all gone home. What he hadn’t expected was for the newly minted Defense Against the Dark Arts professor to be out and about this early in the morning.
“I didn’t mean to—”
“You didn’t.” He smiled.

Sirius lays next to him, his dark hair spilling over his pillow. Thick lashes brushing the tops of his lightly flushed cheeks. Full lips parted as he snores lightly. James lets his head fall back onto the pillow. Suddenly he can’t breathe properly. Hands coming up to cover his face as the realization washes over him. Sirius is in the bed. He’s in Sirius’ bed. He’s in Sirius’ bed and he’s not wearing any clothes. They both weren’t wearing any clothes. In bed. Together. How had they gotten this way?
Suddenly, he’s screaming internally.

Tom blinked.
It was a straightforward enough question, but it was the way Potter had phrased it. Could he possibly be insinuating what he thought he was? No. Surely he was misreading the situation. However, let it not be said that he wasn’t an opportunist. Tom shifted forward slightly in his seat and decided to risk it.
Pitching his voice lower, he replied, “Enough to put you in an uncomfortable one.”

He’s doing it again. Leaning against the wall of another one of Kingsley get-togethers. Wallflowering, as Sirius called it. Waiting for one of his friends to drag him into the fray of the party to participate in whatever game they had decided was the thing for the evening. He would always decline. Always shuffling off once again to his little corner of the room and watch as the others interactive. Always watching. He can’t help but watch.
“It’s a new moon tonight.”
“So you’ve said.”
He can’t help but watch as James falls into him. Perhaps he’s more than a little drunk, the blush crawling across his freckled cheeks.
“It’s a new moon tonight.” He repeats, rising on his toes and pressing his lips against Remus’s.
And it’s just perfect.
