Extreme canon divergence/ AU: What if Eiji never injured himself and therefore never came to the US? The events of Banana Fish still happened, but differently, as Eiji wasn't there to influence them.
Without the injury to slow him down, Eiji Okumura continued to pole vault and eventually won the bronze medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics (which actually took place in 2021). Two and a half years later, he finally arrives in New York City. Haunted by feelings of inadequacy, he's ready to give up pole vaulting and create a new life for himself as a photographer. However, the immigration process in the US is long and complicated, and there's no guarantee he'll even be accepted.
Eiji wants a shortcut, and Max Lobo suggests one in the form of a fake marriage to Ash Lynx.

He opened his mouth to speak once more, the words tumbling out like vomit, slurred and jumbled up together, barely coherent. “TheTruthIsThatILikeYou.” His breathing sped up, heaving almost as his eyes refused to pull away from Ash’s, wanting to really register his reaction. A smile tugged at his lips, his tongue clicking slightly before he finally spoke. “You’re drunk.”
Or in other words: AU in which Eiji (lonely foreign exchange student) gets partnered with Ash (certified bad boy) and develops a teensy crush on him.

After Jayce's dorm is flooded, he is quickly moved to another. He ends up rooming with Viktor, a foreign exchange student who sparks a curiosity in Jayce that he'd never thought he would experience. His androgynous beauty and quick mind seem to run circles of confusion and awe inside Jayce's mind. Though not in any way against homosexuality, he shocks himself when parts of him start to reveal itself.
Viktor, coming from a country not accepting of queer people causes him to envelope himself in internalized homophobia and insecurity... but most of all worry when he meets his new roommate. Jayce was tall, strong, and kind in a way Viktor had never been at the receiving end of. He hopes that these warm feelings in his chest and heated thoughts in his head are just a side effect of being treated kindly for the first time in a while- but he knows better.

Katsuki scoffs, unimpressed. “Then go inside and change.”(OR Midoriya is now a 26 year-old UA teacher trying to rediscover what it means to be happy and navigate the trauma that came with saving the world. Bakugou is at his side to help and maybe *wink wink* the two of them start to realize they're in love. It's a romcom/dramedy style fic about Midoriya and Bakugou getting together after the timeskip.)
