Summary
Maybe it’s the lingering adrenaline from the false alarm a moment ago, but Mike suddenly has a bad feeling deep in his gut. Something is off. Slowly, he walks around to look at Chrissy’s face.
White eyes. Rapid blinking. Unfocused. Unseeing.
Mike’s terror multiplies tenfold, heart rate ratcheting back up. He blinks and it’s Will standing in front of him, glaze-eyed and shaking, seizing, eyes twitching in their sockets, stuck in a waking nightmare as the Mind Flayer forces itself into every orifice.
He blinks again and it’s Chrissy, going through the same thing. Or something very similar.

Summary
“My nose tastes like dust,” Mike says. The statement catches Will so off guard that he can’t help but laugh. Somehow, he knows exactly what he means. He always does.
“How’s your throat?” he asks.
Mike gives a one-shouldered shrug. “Hurts.”
Will brushes his thumb along the side of his neck, frowning sympathetically. He’s being so tough about it. “Do you want me to get you a cough drop?”

"Well, um. He's pretty." Will says, giving Mike a quick glance before turning back to Lucas. "Really pretty."
That's.. vague. Mike doesn't know what to do with that information.
"Will. Come on!" Dustin protests. "We need more than that. Like a hair or eye color. Do we even know him?"
"Okay, fine," Will huffs, trying to hide the smirk growing on his face, but failing miserably. "He has dark curly hair and dark brown eyes." He pauses, then adds: "You guys might know him."
OR: Mike Wheeler isn't completely sure who Will's mystery crush is. However, he does have a working theory about who it might be.

[“Actually—Actually, I wanted to ask you something.” Mike takes his hand, moving it down in between them as he fiddles with his fingers, looking at them instead of Will.
Will’s brow furrows and now he’s nervous, but he waits for Mike to continue. “Uhm,” He starts, glancing up for just a second, “Do you—did you—really mean it when you said that… that you wanted to be together forever?”
Will breathes, “What? Of course, I did—do—you dummy.” He makes a soft, incredulous noise. “You’re the one that said it first,” he pokes the other in the chest.
“Well—Yeah, but—but,“ Mike starts, pouting slightly, “No, you’re right. Sorry, I dunno why-“
“Hey, don’t do that,” Will cuts him off, “I’ve wanted to be with you forever since I was, like, nine. So, yes, I meant it.”
“Did you?” He teases, getting Mike to finally look back up at him, a small smile tugging at his lips. “Yes, obviously I did. I said it first, didn’t I?” He mocks playfully, shoving Will’s shoulder when he just stares at him, enamored.
Will laughs, shoving him back and thinks, ‘Yeah, I definitely wouldn’t mind a forever like this.’]

“Max, I just wanted to—This is so random but I felt—I’m sorry.”
Well, that was not what Max was asking for but she’ll take it. Another new addition to Mike Wheeler—him apologising!
“What are you sorry for? Your awful driving?” Her face cracks into a wide smile and she doubles over laughing. She really did find herself hilarious. Max realises quickly that she’s the only person in the vehicle cracking up, “oh you’re serious?”
or
Mike offers to drive Max to her routine hospital appointments after the whole 'end of the world' situation. Usually they just bicker and talk about Will, but today's car ride was different—Mike decides to unburden himself.
A heart to heart ensues.
