Summary
It started with a rough patrol, too little sleep, and words he hadn’t meant that were spoken in a fight.
“I would have been fine. I didn’t need you! There was no reason for you to step in!” Bruce needed this thick-headed little monster to listen just this once because he wasn’t going to watch this kid get himself killed. Dick’s death would fall on him.
“I’m not going to apologize for saving your life B! You say you didn’t need me, but you did! We’re a team!” The boy was red-faced as he shouted.

Bruce makes a mistake and drives Dick away. He searches Gotham for the kid, hoping he reaches him before someone else takes him.

Summary
Roy was having a relaxing evening at home, scrolling through the latest news reports on his phone. Lian was asleep, and it was just after midnight when a familiar ringing coming from his bedside table broke him out of the sleepy haze he was in. Roy reached across for the drawer, yanking it open and grabbing the extra phone. Frowning at the old flip phone he’d used during his early vigilante days, he checked to see who would possibly call this number over his new ones.
Robin calling…
Roy pressed the call button, feeling confused and irritated. Dick better not be calling drunk from some bar with Wally needing a ride.
“Hello?” He greeted grumpily into the phone.
There was a small gasp that sounded surprised before a young boy spoke, uncertainty and fear colouring his voice. “Sp-Speedy? Is that you?”
Blinking in shock at the old nickname and the familiar sound of one of his best friend’s voices that was much too young to make sense at this time of night, all Roy could respond with was “Robin?!”

Bad Things Happen Bingo prompt: Hurts to Breathe
It started out as a slight irritation in his chest. Nothing some tea and rest won't fix. Splinter thought to himself as he prepared a fresh pot of tea.
The irritation in his lungs developed into a wheezing cough over the next several weeks, lingering in his system far longer than expected, much to the old rat’s consternation. The fits of harsh, wet coughs that overtook him at times had drawn the worry of his youngest, who’d come to visit him in the sewers. His boys were all adults now and had moved out for school and work, building the lives for themselves that Splinter had always dreamt they would.
“Dad, that cough sounds really bad. Didn't you have that same cough when I was here two weeks ago too? You should go to the clinic at the Hidden City, I could take you tomorrow morning. Or at least have Leo check you over, he is going to school for this, ya know. He'd be over in an instant if you asked, Dad.”
He gave Orange a pat on his hand to help reassure his boy. “That won't be necessary, my son. I will stop by the clinic if it doesn't clear up.”

Donnie pried his eyes open, slamming a hand over the snooze button, silencing his alarm clock. 8 AM. He still had time to rest for another ten minutes before he had to get up and start getting ready to head to his first meeting at Genius Built headquarters that morning. Closing his eyes, his rest was rudely interrupted.
“Rise and Shine Don Tron!”
Donnie’s eyes whipped open to his empty bedroom and the softshell took a moment to slowly take a deep breath and exhale. It’s just the anniversary, that’s all. It would be nine years since the Krang invasion. Nine years since he lost the one brother he thought would be right there beside him for the rest of his life.
