When you pulled back, your cheeks slightly flushed and betraying your usual stoicism, you hesitated, breathing unevenly. “I… I needed to know.”
König’s eyes searched yours. “Did you find what you were looking for?”
Slowly, you shook your head no.
König lifted his mask with one thumb, surged forward, and without a word, closed the distance between you once more.
