Summary
Nearly a century after the last appearance of Sozin’s Comet, thirteen-year-old Fire Prince Zuko is banished by his father and given a near impossible task: find and capture the elusive Avatar, the Fire Nation’s greatest threat.
After just three months at sea, he discovers a strange boy frozen in an iceberg. To both Zuko’s confusion and frustration, however, the Avatar is nothing at all like he expected him to be.
Why would he help Zuko and his uncle escape from Admiral Zhao? Why does he insist on dragging them all over the world to the abandoned Air Temples? Why is he so infuriatingly cheery?
…Why is he beginning to make Zuko question everything he has ever known?
As the weeks go by, Zuko slowly begins learns the truth about the Air Nomads and the War. Summary
Eight hundred years ago, the beloved Crown Prince of the Air Kingdom became one of the few humans in history to ever master all four elements. After managing to save a small village from a powerful dark spirit, Aang eventually ascended to godhood at the age of 18. However, the prince’s good luck eventually ran out, and despite his power and reputation, he could not prevent his kingdom from eventually falling to ruin at the hands of the Fire Kingdom.
Now the only surviving member of his once-great kingdom, Aang is considered an outcast and laughingstock amongst the heavens for being the only god to have ever ascended to—and been banished from—the heavens twice. Despite having spent the last eight hundred years wandering the mortal world alone and powerless, Aang has still done his best to continue helping anyone who needs it for no payment in return.
When the former Crown Prince suddenly ascends for a third time, word spreads like wildfire throughout the three realms. In the Spirit Realm, the news reaches the ears of a powerful being—The Blue Spirit—who has long searched for the fallen god and will do whatever it takes to find him.
