“In my shop?” He leans his hip against the counter and crosses his arms over his chest. “Commerce, I expect.”

He glanced over, eyes flicking from her face down her body once, before fixing his attention back on her books.
“I was under the impression you were an investigative journalist,” he quipped, then lifted a hand to the spines.
“Don’t touch my books,” she snapped. “You can’t just invite yourself in.”
“The witch downstairs implied your assistant could.” He gestured to himself with the raised hand, turning his obedience at not messing with her things into something distinctly insouciant. Prat.
And then his words registered.
She jolted back like she’d been slapped, blinking against the cognitive assault. “What? No. You’re claiming that you are my new research assistant?”
“Cracked it in one,” he drawled, sliding his hands into his trouser pockets.

She glowered at him. “It’s called Would You Rather and it’s a Muggle game, you prat.”
He made a one-arm gesture of acceptance. “Fine, Granger. Would you rather…” He assessed her then smirked. “Have someone use their hands to give you a back massage or an orgasm?”
She got the sense he expected her to blush at the word. She stared at him, frustration mounting that he was being so juvenile and making their project take longer than it needed to.
“Can’t decide?” He quipped when she was still staring at him.
“Back massage,” she snapped. “I can’t do that myself.”
He chuckled. “Can’t do either of them yourself, but perhaps you’re too pure to know that. Pity not in the way that matters.”
Now she looked up. “What?”

It's a matter of pride that he acts like he doesn't want her to drag her into an empty classroom and have her way with him.

She's far too busy trying to run the Bureau for Endangered Creatures efficiently, dealing with budget cuts and ignorant ministry officials and finding a way to somehow restore her parents' memories, who are still in Australia and none the wiser about the existence of their daughter.
When she discovers that the Wizengamot plans to use Draco Malfoy as a scapegoat whilst dealing with elusive Voldemort loyalists, she offers to testify for him. She's not quite sure how it led to her trying on wedding dresses under the watchful eye of Narcissa Malfoy.
