"Nope!" Diluc replies, "I already have you! I have no need for a guardian angel as long as I have your support!" Diluc then giggled, "I wouldn't be surprised if you were my guardian angel."
Kaeya stared for a few seconds, slack jawed, before smiling back widely, "Of course, Luc! If you want, I'll be your guardian angel!"

The room inhales, holds its breath in jittery anticipation. The kid’s watching him, muscles tensed, expecting a fight. It’s not an unreasonable expectation. The last time they saw each other was against a backdrop of broken bones and spilt blood.
