The craving starts off predictably enough, as an itch under his skin—a sort of hyperawareness, an inability to fully rest. The longer Yuuri puts it off, the worse the need grows, until he's forced to do reckless things to try to relieve the pressure. Alcohol can numb his urges, and there are phone apps and other services that mimic orders, but nothing works like the real thing.
If only he was stronger. Or a different person entirely. Not everyone feels their needs with such intensity. Hell, there is a not-insignificant percentage of the population who is entirely immune to the major dynamics, and they're the luckiest people alive, in Yuuri's opinion.
