Summary
“Rick, this heat is unbearable,” Morty whines, collapsing onto the couch beside him. “Can’t you just fix the AC already? Dad’s never going to get it right and you know it.”
Rick takes a long swig from his flask, seemingly pondering Morty’s plea. “You know, Morty, it’s not just about fixing the AC. It’s about teaching Jerry a lesson. Maybe if he sweats a little, he’ll think twice before trying to handle things beyond his capability.”

Summary
“Char-lie, how many drinks has he had?” Allan asks, putting a hand on Pim’s back to right him as he starts to tilt backwards. Pim lets out a small giggle, hiccuping slightly as he tried to focus on Allan’s face. Charlie squints at the assortment of empty glasses and mugs scattered on the bar in front of them.
“Uh, let’s see… I think he had… one, two, four?” Charlie counts, his voice tinged with uncertainty.

Day 3 — Borrowed Time by Tennis / Caught
"Just a little something to help you really let go, Morty!" Rick laughs, his voice filled with excitement and mischief. “Say ‘ahhh’!”
Without giving Morty a chance to protest, Rick places the pill on Morty’s tongue, and it immediately starts dissolving once it touches his saliva. Morty's eyes widen in shock, its taste bitter and harsh.
Almost immediately, Morty feels a wave of dizziness wash over him. His vision swims, the flashing lights and moving bodies around him becoming a blur. His heart races, pounding in his chest in time with the music. He feels a strange detachment from reality, like he’s floating outside of his own body.

Day 2 - “His life doesn’t matter! Yours does.” / Amnesiac Hero
Rick pulls out a little device that looks somewhat familiar, and— oh, crap.
“You motherfucker!” Morty lurches forward to try and swipe the mind-wiping device away from his grandfather.
“Fuck, Morty!” The device clatters to the ship’s floor between Morty’s legs, pointing straight up at him… and the last thing he registers before he blacks out is a blue beam shooting straight at him.

Summary
“What’s up, dude?” Charlie rests his hand on the doorknob, torn between invading Pim’s privacy to check on him and being respectful.
“I’m okay, don’t worry, Charlie.” Pim calls meekly through the door. “You should go back to work, in case Mr. Boss gets a job for you.”
And that’s when the smell hits him.
A sickly-sweet scent that can only be described as a mixture of roses and strawberries floods out from beneath the bedroom door and invades Charlie’s nose, and it practically sends him reeling.

Day 1 - Hanahaki AU / Realization
Morty listens intently, absorbing Rick’s words with a sinking feeling in his chest. Surgery. The word hangs in the air, heavy with implications. He imagines the risk, the uncertainty of altering his memories and emotions. But the alternative is equally terrifying – living with the relentless progression of Hanahaki Disease, flowers blooming and choking him slowly from within.
“Rick,” Morty starts cautiously, his voice trembling slightly. “What happens if I… if I don’t do anything?”
Rick’s expression softens, a rare glimpse of empathy crossing his features. “Morty, if it’s left untreated, the flowers will continue to grow. Eventually, they’ll obstruct your airways completely. It won’t e-end well.”

Summary
“A-aw jeez, Grandpa,” Morty squirms, his cheeks reddening. At some point, this had become a… thing between them, when Rick had too much to drink. Rick would get handsy, expressing desire for his grandson, but it usually never went further than some groping and chaste kisses before he disappeared into his room or the garage and passed out. And the next morning he would act normal, as if either he’d forgotten or been too ashamed to acknowledge what had happened.
Morty, for his part, never really knew what to make of it. It was disturbing and confusing, yes, but also kind of flattering, in a twisted way. After all, it wasn't every day that your grandfather, a brilliant scientist and all-around asshole, told you that you were cute and tried to fondle you. And there was the fact that Morty’s body seemed to react to it much more than it should, but he tried not to think about that.

Summary
"Fine, I'll run a test," Rick finally says, relenting to Morty's pleading. He pulls out a small scanner from one of the ship's compartments and waves it over Morty's body, analyzing the spores that have coated his skin and clothes.
“I feel weird,” Morty complains, squeezing his legs together and rocking back and forth in his seat.
The scanner beeps and whirs as it processes the data, and Rick squints at the readout, trying to make sense of the jumble of numbers and symbols. After a moment, he frowns and shoves the scanner back into its compartment.
"Well, it looks like the spores are some kind of aphrodisiac," Rick says, trying to keep his voice casual. "They're not going to kill you, but they might make you... uh... well, y-you’ll be fine.”

Summary
A shiver runs down Morty’s spine. Just as he’s about to lose his shit, he feels a hand on his shoulder. He turns around, expecting— hoping— to see his own Rick, but instead he's greeted by the leering face of a alternate Rick that he's never seen before. This Rick is different - he's got a greasy combover, a sleazy mustache, and a sinister grin on his face.
"Well well well, what do we have here?" the sleazy Rick says, licking his lips. "A-a little lost boy, aaallll by himself in the big bad Citadel. You look like you could u-use some company, kiddo."

Summary
Morty wipes his eyes and takes a deep breath, trying to steady himself. He looks at Rick, who is still snoring softly, oblivious to the emotional storm raging inside his grandson. Morty knows that Rick would never understand, could never reciprocate in the way Morty longed for. Their relationship was complex enough without adding this impossible layer to it.
And yet Rick has completely and utterly ruined him for anyone else without even knowing it; nobody could show him the wonders of the universe like Rick could. From the smaller things, like the way the ice cream from the Gloppy Drop system was so much better than Earth ice cream, to the bigger things, like the way nothing gave Morty the same thrill as shooting his way through an intergalactic prison with his grandpa. He would never be satisfied with life only on Earth ever again, and he’s pretty sure he could never feel for anyone else the way he felt for Rick.
