Summary
She doesn't understand. It was a good call. Everyone's alright. She didn't make any life-ending decisions today.
So why is the only thing she can feel right now her clothes sticking to her body? Maya's more than used to sweating through her uniform, especially on a hot day with a big fire like this one. But it's like every small thing that usually only bothers her a little bit has intensified in addition to how bad she's already feeling, and she can't think about anything else. She feels like her heart is beating through her chest with a strong urge to get out, and the only thing keeping her from crumbling right here and now in front of everybody else is her need to preserve her dignity.

Neurodivergent!Maya Bishop is the hill I've decided to die on, so I wrote her having a bad time and Andy being her safe person because their relationship is important to me and so painfully forgotten about in canon

Summary
She blinked hard. “It didn’t feel fair to put it on you either.”
“You’re my wife, bambina. That makes it fair.” Carina smiled faintly.
They sat in silence for a moment, hands intertwined. Then Maya whispered, “Sometimes when you touch my wrist, I remember the hospital. The sound of the restraints. It’s not you, but it feels like it. And then I feel guilty for even thinking that, because you’re- God, you’re my home, Carina.”

Summary
so this is gonna take place early season 6ish and will be mostly andy based. also i’m not putting trigger warnings on individual chapters (trigger warning; mentions of self harm, suicide, depression, sexual assault, rape, among other mental health related things throughout the whole story)
andy has gotten to the point where her emotions are too much, and feels she can't do anything but resort to unhealthy coping methods. she has everybody thinking she's fine until she ends up in the hospital.
