Summary
Now that Will’s sitting and Mike’s the one that’s standing, he looks impossibly tall. Tall and lanky, and huge. He should sit back down, Will thinks, lay back down next to Will and stay in their own secluded little bubble.
“I really want to kiss you,” Mike says, and Will’s eyes snap back up to his so violently he thinks he hears his own neck crack with the force of it.
“Don’t,” Will croaks, before his brain has even processed the words. “Don’t say that.”
“Okay,” Mike says easily, still staring. And what the actual fuck is going on? Is Will hallucinating? Is the weed making him hallucinate? “So sausage and pepperoni?”
Will stares dumbly at him. “Um - yeah. Yes.”
“Cool,” Mike replies and then just turns around and leaves Will sitting dumbly in his own room.

Mike and Will get high on Jonathan’s weed and Mike has an amazing idea.

Summary
A sudden thought hits Eddie and he's almost immediately sent back into a panic.
"Why the hell are you here?" Eddie's voice is a little bit shrill which is kind of embarrassing but he doesn't have much time to dwell on it because Steve is still here in the Upside Down when he's supposed to be out of the gate by now and back in Hawkins.
Steve's mostly got his breath back at this point so he looks up at Eddie, one knee pressed to the ground as he rests himself against the other one. He doesn't say anything for a few seconds, clearly lost in thought before he simply shakes his head, "I don't know…"
Eddie doesn't know how to take it because Steve doesn't seem all that convinced by his own words.

‘ “Robin, that sounds like a date. Is it a date? Have you been lying to me about being a lesbian because you just didn’t want to hurt my feelings? Or - Fuck - is Eddie just pretty enough that you don’t care that he doesn’t have boobies?”
Steve knew that he was rambling, he knew that he wasn’t necessarily being fair in what he was saying, so he finally stopped talking and looked up at Robin, ready to be chewed out. Instead, she was just staring at him a bit confusedly, a small smile quirking at the corner of her lips.“You know I’m as gay as they come, Steve, Eddie knows that too. And no, being a ‘pretty enough’ boy doesn’t magically bypass lesbianism? Though I do think it’s important to point out that you’re the one that said the words ‘Eddie is pretty enough that you don’t care that he doesn’t have boobies’ unprompted, buddy.”

Dustin wakes up in Max’s trailer the day of Eddie’s death. Once is happenstance, twice is coincidence, but three times? Three times is a pattern.

Summary
Eddie thrusts his hand, fisted around the diploma, into the air like he’s god damn John Bender on the football field, and he lets out a triumphant whoop.
He hears his friends go crazy in their seats again, and when he finds them in the crowd once more he sees that Dustin has climbed up onto his chair, one hand gripping Steve’s shoulder for support while the other is pumping through the air. He’s shouting Eddie’s name, and so is Mike, who is clapping so hard his hands must hurt. Lucas and Max each are holding one corner of a sign spelling out “Eddie the Conqueror” across the center, with hand painted flames licking around the words. It makes Eddie laugh, bright and buoyant, and he shakes the diploma through the air some more.
Eddie’s chest feels tight in the best kind of way as a sudden tidal wave of emotions body slams him, clogging his throat and forcing him to take a sharp, deep breath through his nose. His nostrils flare with it, and a hysterical sort of laugh bubbles up. It’s just, he’s never been this happy before. Never been this proud. Never felt this good.
He’s smiling so big that his cheeks hurt. He feels like he’s walking on fucking air. He did it, he fucking did it.

Summary
"Steve 'the Hair' Harrington, a rage-filled barbarian, who knew?" Eddie says, like its a compliment, like Steve has ANY idea what that means.
"Uh, I knew. Obviously." Steve says, wisely, even though he clearly didn't. "Anyway, do you think we could eat a demobat? Or would we turn into some kind of monstrous freak? I'm starving, and Dustin's cheese crackers are not enough to get me on my feet again."
"What difference does it make to me if I'm a human freak or a monster one?" Eddie shrugs, and Steve butts his shoulder up against Eddie. It's meant to be brotherly, maybe friendly, but it's too soft. Felt like something he might have done before slinging an arm around a girl's shoulders.
"You're not a freak." Steve says, and finds he means it.
Eddie's eyes, when he looks at Steve, are curious. "No?"

"Personal space, dude." He's so proud of his voice for not cracking when he says it, "Heard of it?"
Steve snorts and takes a puff, smoke clouding around his mouth before he blows it away, lips pursed in the air. "Don't think you're one to talk about personal space but I'll move if you want."

It had been two and a half months since the end of Spring Break.
Eddie had been cleared of all charges, The Byers were back in Hawkins like they’d never left, Vecna was dead and gone, and everything was back to normal; or rather as back to normal as Hawkins could get.
Unfortunately for one Steve Harrington, his new normal seemed to be not only his inability to get a date, but also his newfound proclivity towards staring at Eddie Munson’s mouth while he dramatically narrated during a five hour Hellfire session, or counting the freckles on the bridge of his nose, or memorizing the patterns in his honey coloured eyes.
