“There is something wrong with her blood,” Astarion hisses. He doesn’t mean to make a scene, so he keeps it quiet. The only person he needs to convince is her. “I can smell it from here, I don’t know if it’s safe.”
If he appeals to their safety, maybe it will be enough. Lae'zel had been angry at him before for starving himself, for not being the sharpest blade possible. The woman works a whetstone for hours a day, surely she won’t want him dulled by poisoned blood even if it would be at the expense of her own strength.
It’s a long shot, and he knows it.

All in all, perhaps not Wyll's cleverest moment. He just needed to find a pothole. A grate of some kind. Something that would get him back out into the open world, where someone might see him and help. It would be wonderful if his vision would stop going grey at the edges, and if his feet worked like how he told them to. He just needed…a little rest. A bit of a sit down, then he’d be right as rain. He slid down the wall, breathing through his nose.
“I don't suppose you're going to be using any of that blood, are you?”
When Astarion is saved from his master by a group of heroes, he thought his life was doomed to scavenging loneliness. But what if he had the chance to save one of those heroes right back?

That was his voice. Not the voice of a tortured amnesiac. That was Dar on the sofa in the townhouse. A heavy voice. The promise of a threat. It was the voice that promised that it wouldn’t be one of the good nights. Dar’s moods were mercurial, and that voice promised danger.
“I know enough.”
“Explain it.”
“No."
A story in which Astarion has to contend with a Dark Urge character who he has substantial and unpleasant history with.

Summary
A version of history where Durge used to attend Cazador's parties.
The spawn met his gaze with blazing eyes. Furious. Dar had expected a broken shred of a person. The snivelling humans offering up blood were pathetic and he was expecting something worse from the spawn. This wasn’t a shredded broken thing. There was hate in those eyes. Trapped and controlled but not truly broken. Dar held his gaze. The spawn’s lip curled, showing fangs but then he got that under control. Cazador was watching. The spawn hated Dar but he was too afraid of Cazador to risk anything more than that flickering hate in his eyes.
