Chuuya's relationship with Dazai was like a play.
There was the Act 1, the time they spent together in Port Mafia. Then, there was the Intermission, the time after Dazai's betrayal. And lastly, there was the Act 2, the present time which included the reunion, the treaty between the Mafia and ADA and cautiously healing relationship.
Okay, perhaps his analog was a bit faulty – most plays had three acts, after all. But little did Chuuya know, there was going to be an Act 3; where everything would change, because apparently, Dazai has been keeping a big secret from him.

Dazai had expected death, had hoped it would be swift, merciful. Instead he found himself living in the Sorcerer’s sentient house, sharing food and space and clothes and conversation with the man that Mori had sent him to assassinate.
It can’t last. Dazai’s past is unravelling before him and Chuuya is learning the hard way that not even his powers can reverse the bitter corruption that loneliness has left inside him. Their own issues demand attention but the pair must focus on the looming threat; Sooner or later Mori will try to tear them apart. Dazai knows it, Chuuya knows it.
They must both strengthen each other. Together, together they might stand a chance against Mori.
