You liked someone from when you were sixteen, and you still like them ten years later. Quach Phuong, be selfish for once. If anyone says you're not good, I'll fight them for you. If it weren’t for you, I would have fed that bastard Tan Duat to the wolves. You're so good, if he doesn't love you, he should have at least returned you to me." Lam My cried as she spoke, her chest heaving.
Quach Phuong did not react, a faint smile still hung on her lips. She felt very tired, and simply wanted to sleep.
"Lam My, being able to be Tan Duat's wife in this life means that my wish has been fulfilled. I have no regrets, nor do I hope for anything more. That's enough." Quach Phuong closed her eyes, and quietly fell asleep beside Lam My.
Lam My covered her mouth with her hand, trying to contain her sobs.
Quach Phuong, in your next life, don't be a daughter of the Ngo family, and don't be Tan Duat's wife. You can become a flower, or even a blade of grass, as long as you’re at peace, free of any sorrow or suffering.
