Summary
“Wait, wait, wait,” he blinked, then looked straight at her. “You have seven cats, and they are all named 'Plagg'?”
“Uh…yeah? Didn’t I just go over that?” she answered, glancing at him like he was the crazy cat lady, before going to a notebook and searching through it. “Seven black cats. Lucky number seven.” She shrugged as if this explained everything. With a loud rip, a perforated page was taken out and suddenly thrust into Adrien’s face.
Adrien looked down and scrunched his nose at the several listed Plaggs and their...“needs”.
Something was lacking here, communication-wise. Something he was sure had to do with Alya, and something he was catching onto. Luckily, it was also something Marinette seemed to be missing, which would work well to their advantage.
Now Adrien just had to figure out what all was in his “job description”.[ABANDONED - SORRY!]

“So you’re the guy,” he drawled out, glancing up at Adrien for just a second before looking back to his fretboard.
“I’m what guy?” Adrien questioned absently. His well-trained fingers flitted across the small keyboard he tugged along for these “practices” at Luka’s house. Really, it was just an excuse for the two unlikely friends to hang out.
“The guy.” Luka shifted on his bed and strummed a few power chords, letting the reverb echo through the room before continuing. “I asked Juleka if Marinette was interested in me enough to go see a movie or something, and she said Marinette would probably say yes, but that she was still pretty hung up on some guy.” He held his arms out and a bright grin spread across his usually muted features. “You’re that guy!”
The C7 arpeggio Adrien was messing with turned to mush on the spot.

"Trying to push through the embarrassing betrayal of "feelings", Félix gingerly reached out and gripped the present. Their fingers brushed (oh my gosh, how cliché could this get!?) at the transfer, something Félix may or may not have done accidentally on purpose.
Bridgette's eyes flicked up to his at the contact, but before he could even thank her for the present, he found himself looking instead at her retreating form.
Félix frowned at this…but it wasn't out of anger. He sighed, turning his attention instead to the package in front of him.
Etiquette told Félix to wait until he was home before carefully taking the paper off the box in his hand.
Félix tore into the gift like a madman.

“Maybe,” she finally conceded. She flicked her eyes to his face for just a moment before starting to skate backward away from him. “It depends.”
Adrien dropped his board, hopping one foot onto it and immediately kicking off after her. Her hips swayed back and forth to propel her back at a quicker pace. Adrien tried to ignore it, really. Honestly.
“Depends on what, Ladybug?” he asked, trying not to sound as suddenly breathless as he really felt. Her eyes seemed to shine in the little moonlight they had. She was so small, he felt almost protective just at the sight of her; but something in her demeanor told him quite clearly that not only would she not want protection, but, really, she didn’t need it.
She smiled wryly at him and Adrien’s heart beat a little faster, and it had nothing to do with their increase of speed.
“Depends if you can keep up, Chat Noir.”

You’ll know it, Marinette had assured him, pacing her room and perhaps thinking a little more about how to deal with the unexpected revelation of his identity than how he could best make Ladybug fall in love with him. Just… wait for it.
