“We don’t need someone to fill a seat, we need someone to win.” The stern features of his face turn soft, graced with an easy smile. “You have a talent for this, Ayase.”
Heat rushes to her cheeks, turning them cherry red, and a smile as soft as Takanaka’s spreads across her lips. “...Really?”

Summary
With a quivering breath, Ken closed his eyes and began to slowly rock his form with hers to the beat of the band behind them. For those last few moments before he was to begin, he reveled in those glorious sounds and prayed to whomever was listening that this wouldn't be the last time he'd be on this stage if it meant feeling like this.
The tap of her fingers on his shoulder counted him in and with one final touch, there was no going back.

Summary
Two years ago, the Kur came back, their fleet even more vast than before.
Humanity didn't stand a chance - but the yokai did.

After Momo gets upset about Okarun's group project, though, Vamola convinces her to finally admit that she's in love with the boy. Honestly, it's a huge relief - Momo finds that she's thrilled to finally put it all in words, even if it's just to Vamola.

This has become his new normal.But seeing a version of yourself holding the girl of your heart in a tight hug and purring like an overgrown cat was still very surreal, even for his new standards.

Momo Ayase, meaning only to help a person in trouble, consoles him in a time of need only to give Ken a sick attachment to her comfort.
He has to be with her, always, because she's the only one that helps. The only one that gives him a quiet mind.

Ken really has the worst of luck. Always has, always will. Even his good luck, like being the object of some weird form of affection of a freaking dragon, feels more unlucky to have than not...
Oh well, it couldn't get much worse than that... right?
Haha, the world just loved proving him wrong.
On top of everything else he has to deal with, he has to hide the fact that he is aware of the supernatural around him, or risk getting targeted and killed by just getting caught in the crossfire of evil yokai and an easily pissed off dragon.

Momo Ayase has always considered herself a ‘good in a crisis’ kind of person. Not that she’s been in many crises, before: more like she just pictures she’d do okay in a zombie apocalypse scenario (she enjoys envisioning taking out baddies with a baseball bat or shotgun—WHAM! BAP! and the guts go flyin'!) or maybe she’d be good at remembering to do CPR or the Heimlich while other folks are still freaking out—that sort of thing. With the past couple of wild nights of supernatural chaos under her belt, she’s starting to feel qualified in that opinion, considering she’s kinda badass when it comes to trading blows with aliens and the like…
While this newly acquired skill set has left her feeling empowered as hell in certain regards, it has done very little to prepare her for the particular brand of fresh panic she feels now as she looks at Okarun, his face buried in one of her dirty sweaters…A story about identity, consent, and the lies we tell ourselves to protect our hearts.
