Summary

Little by little, this room had become his home. The rustling of leaves outside his window, the conversations, laughs and fights of his housemates, Nira's barking... Soon, Haiji wouldn't hear any of that anymore. This room would be a home to someone else, as if Haiji had never been there. He looked at the pile of labeled cardboard boxes in the right corner of the room. On top of them, the running shoes he hadn't dared touch yet. Those were for last. A shiver ran down his spine.
The day before leaving Aotake, Haiji sorts out his running shoes.

Haiji rarely dreams when he sleeps. But these days, he often dreams of Kakeru.
Story begins around the time of the epilogue, when the Kansei University track team gather at Chikuseisou/Aotake three years post-Hakone Ekiden.When he wakes up on the day of the reunion, fresh and warm from another one of his Kakeru dreams, Haiji throws an arm over his eyes and chuckles. He knows what happens when he has a dream. Which is why he’ll show up at Chikuseisou to chase it.
Note: E rating only applies to the last chapter. First two chapters are more like a T rating (possibly an M if you squint towards the end of the second chapter).

But it's not as bad as his parents' house, he thinks… not the way it had been after he screwed everything up and let everybody down.
He doesn't think he's let anybody in Aotake down, yet.

Kakeru burns with the truth of that question. Haiji’s head is an exhalation away from resting against Kakeru’s shoulder. Kakeru says, “Yes,” and Haiji smiles a new smile, wide and powerful and tender. He leans closer, his weight on Kakeru’s legs, on Kakeru’s chest when his left hand finds the bony shoulder. Kakeru’s heart might have exploded in his chest, for it feels so big he doesn’t know how he’s still carrying it. Haiji’s so close he breathes him in every time he inhales.
“How much do you care about me, Kakeru?” Haiji whispers against Kakeru’s lips.

Summary
As usual, when he lets Haiji have his way, the reward is swift to follow. Haiji lets out a soft exhale, like he was holding his breath, and presses closer to trail his lips against Kakeru's jaw, his cheek. Kakeru reflexively reaches out for him, arms slipping around Haiji to hold him, nervousness falling away.
"I want to be in charge of… of making you feel… good," he mumbles, a little lost already in the oncoming sensation of Haiji warm against him, kissing him, wanting him back.
Haiji's lips are soft on his, but they make him shake like a leaf in the wind. "Take whatever you want," Haiji tells him. "I'll give it to you."

Simply put, Haiji is stunning, and Kakeru wants to take every opportunity to learn him. Even (especially) if it means leaving Haiji feeling a little overwhelmed.

Summary
Life after the Hakone Ekiden is very different in Kakeru's world: Haiji leaves, Haiji returns, Haiji stays, and Kakeru just tries to find his place in it all.
“Isn’t Kakeru always on the phone? I can hear him talking at the window,” Nico supplies unhelpfully.
“Girlfriend?” Yuki smirks.
“Or boyfriend,” Haiji adds.
“Or boyfriend,” Yuki concedes.
Kakeru feels utterly betrayed. He can’t believe Haiji is on their side, that he’s even encouraging this behaviour when he knows that his suggestion is entirely untrue. Not that Kakeru would mind it if Haiji was his boyfriend but he doesn’t like being teased so mercilessly.
“I don’t have a girlfriend!” Kakeru cries, exasperated.
“Boyfriend, then,” King nods to himself, like he’s just solved the biggest trivia question of them all.
“I don’t have a boyfriend either! It was Haiji-san!” Kakeru shouts, face red.

He looks at Haiji. Haiji beams back at him, and Kakeru swallows, looking away.

"Is Haiji your best friend?" Tobio asks.
"He's…" Kakeru leans back on his hands, and then says, "my boyfriend, actually."
It just feels like something he wants to tell Tobio. His cousin stares silently at him for an awkwardly long time, but Kakeru doesn't feel uncomfortable. If anything, this is normal for Tobio, he's realizing. He does wonder what Tobio will think.
"Huh," Tobio says, eventually, nodding like this makes sense. "That's why you were being so mushy."
Kakeru swats at his shoulder. "I was not."
"Yeah, you were," Tobio says.
"Is that why you're too nervous to text Hinata?" Kakeru counters. "You're afraid of being mushy?"
Tobio's mouth falls open. "What?!"

He's got a lot of worries over facing the upcoming year now that Haiji has graduated—but it turns out that makes him the perfect person to help his cousin Tobio understand his own feelings for a certain sunny teammate.

Summary
Sangwoo had broken down their physical intimacy into levels. They started in level 1, where Jaeyoung warned him if he wanted to touch him. They had moved onto level 2, where Jaeyoung didn’t have to warn, Sangwoo expected it now, but the touch was limited to specific areas, pats on the head, kisses on the lips, the face. It all felt close, but not too overwhelming and when it did, Sangwoo would just say it, and Jaeyoung always took a step back.
“I need a bit of time for level 3,” he said, one afternoon when they were sitting on the floor of his apartment and their kissing had gotten more intense. Jaeyoung’s hand had slid down to Sangwoo’s hips and his thumb moved under his sweatshirt, sliding against the skin of his waist.
