Chris has always known this whole ‘perfect alternate universe’ thing was going to blow up in his face. Thing is, he’d always sort of assumed it’d come about because someone would find him out – there’d be some sort of missing birth mark or a gotcha memory or maybe his ARGUS would figure out the door code and somehow follow him out here, start a war, cause their universes to collide and implode or some shit. Or maybe it’d be something more lowkey – like all the music sucked, or zoodles weren’t a thing, or eagles were banned, or some shit.
He never figured it’d be on him to blow shit up. He’s also pretty sure no one could have seen this one coming.

“He’s late. Of course he’s late.” Armin grumbled as impatient eyes flickered between the time on his watch and the text message of the time he and his closest friend Eren Yaeger had decided to meet. In all honesty, Armin would want nothing more to go back inside. It was about a week ago when the conversation that led Armin in this position happened.
He was curled up in their dorm reading a textbook when Eren couldn’t stop raving about the party he’d been to the day before. And in a moment of stupid spontaneity Armin asked if he could tag along at the next one. Eren agreed with no hesitation, he even got super excited about it. That excitement is why Armin has been standing outside for 15 minutes trying to ignore the chill that’s been creeping up his spine.
