“According to my contract.”
“Listen,” Atsumu adjusts himself once more so he’s relaxed along the chair rather than sitting on the cushion properly—legs again propped onto the armrest, “I’m gonna be yer catcher nine times outta ten and I love this game. We can both at least agree that a workin’ relationship would be beneficial for the both of us.”

Maybe Atsumu hears it anyway, reaching down to tilt Kiyoomi’s chin up, his smile lopsided. “I know."

Summary
Dealing with the Adlers, it turns out, is much like getting dive bombed by a chaotic, volleyball obsessed, screeching eagle at all hours of the day.
Maybe he’s exaggerating, but he doubts it. At the very least, Kageyama, when paired with Hinata in the same house is an instrument of torture for everyone involved.
“I don’t know how they have the energy for that,” Atsumu says from beside Kiyoomi, two days into their stay with the Adlers, while they watch the two former Karasuno players compete to get to the kitchen first, shoving and slapping at each other in the doorway.
He says it like he is any less of a demonic entity created from Kiyoomi’s worst nightmares.
In which the MSBY Black Jackals sharehouse catches fire, the Schweiden Adlers take them in, and Kiyoomi somehow starts sleeping with the guy he kissed once in highschool.

Summary
Whenever Kiyoomi is asked out on a first date, he makes it his goal to be the worst possible date he can be. He keeps his engagement at a bare minimum, offering little more than one-word answers and turning his nose up at most food offered to him. After all, if they don’t like him at his worst, they don’t deserve him at his best, right?
So when Atsumu asks Kiyoomi out one day, Kiyoomi simply prepares himself for the same old routine that’s helped him weed out just about everyone so far. He doubts Atsumu will be any different from the others.

“Do you like her, Omi-Omi?”
The ‘her’ in question is the orange ball of fur in Atsumu’s arms. Cradled like a baby, the cat looks around the room with wide, green eyes—shining with a mix of curiosity and trepidation. She's from a family friend, who had to give her up due to his recent move into a retirement home with a 'service animals only' policy. Kiyoomi hadn’t wanted a pet—and if he had, he’s always been more of a dog person—but after Atsumu literally gave a PowerPoint as to why they should take her in, Kiyoomi caved. Atsumu had pets as a kid, so he’ll be the one in charge of taking care of her.
Looking Atsumu in the eye, Kiyoomi finally responds, “No.”
Atsumu adopts a cat. Kiyoomi doesn't care much for her—until he does.
