Summary
The way the winner's room worked was simple: after every game, the losing team had thirty minutes to send a player into the winner's room to await a player from the winning team, and anything the winning player wanted to do or ask for, the losing player had to acquiesce. There were rules, no permanent marks, nothing that could prevent the player from appearing in their next practice, that sort of thing.
Most teams had a rotation or a raffle system to decide who had to go if the winning team didn't pick someone outright.
The only thing that could overrule a winning team's pick was if someone volunteered, but only a complete fool would volunteer to take winner's room when the winning player was geared up to take a pound of flesh from their chosen loser.
