Summary
“Are they revoking my pardon?” Jinx asks bluntly, picking absently at her nail. Vi jerks in surprise.
“What? No,” she says, and before Ekko can ask some equally ridiculous question, she blurts, “Cait and I are gonna have a baby.”
Both Jinx and Ekko’s eyes go wide. Then-
“Congratulations!” Ekko exclaims, pulling her forward into an embrace. She pats him on the back, but she can’t help but watch as Jinx’s face goes through a series of emotions before settling firmly on shock.
Or: the news of a new addition to the Kiramman household brings up old feelings - and ghosts - for Jinx.

Summary
She’s shaking. Vi’s not sure if Jinx is even aware of it. It might be from shock, the excess adrenaline still pumping with no outlet. It could be from exertion; carrying a little body for miles through the fissures, of all places, can’t be an easy burden.
She’s probably pretty light weight. Still, after some time…
“Do you want me to take her?” Vi offers gently. It’s odd, being this soft again. For years, this was all she wanted back: her sister, feeling like she could rely on Vi. She was so willing to protect Powder that she’d take any and all pain away from her.
Now she’s here, faced with Jinx in the most vulnerable position she’s been in since Vi created her that night, and Vi doesn’t know what to do.
Well. Just another thing she didn’t quite manage. At the very least, she kept Jinx safe. Kept her alive. Vi gets to keep her little sister.

It’s completely still and quiet here, barely even the sounds of the trees rustling in the wind. It’s like all the wildlife knows to avoid this place. Hell, even the Wolf in Derek is snarling at him to turn back.
Erica and Boyd tumble into the clearing just after him, looking crazed as they scent the air. Erica’s got leaves and twigs in her hair and Boyd’s boots are covered in mud.
He turns back to the clearing and his breath catches when he spots something he hadn’t before. He feels frozen when recognition dawns on him because there, laying limply on the stump of the Nemeton, is Stiles. And just like everything else here, he is utterly silent and unmoving.
Derek’s ears ring.
Or: A rogue Alpha is terrorizing Beacon Hills. Queue the “Stiles as bait gone wrong” trope.

He doesn’t know how much Damian is picking up—probably, stubbornly, more than someone in his condition should be worrying over. But Dick can’t risk pulling something like this over on him. So he says, apologetically, “Brace.”
And then he’s sneaking one arm around Damian’s back, the other in the crook of his knees.
