Summary
It starts with a documentary about Area 51 that neither of them are really watching. It starts with Will fighting sleep, dark circles under his eyes, and Mike doing something stupid—offering his lap as a pillow.
It ends with Mike's hands in Will's hair, Will's face pressed against his stomach, and the sudden, terrifying realization that this isn't just friendship. It never was.

“...Kou… don’t cry…” Daichi's voice cracked under the weight of tears as they slipped from his own bloodshot eyes, burned raw from hot air and smoke.
“Shut up,” Koushi sobbed, leaning over and pressing kisses to Daichi’s face, stroking his ash-coated hair and pressing their foreheads together as his heart thundered savagely in his chest. Although his lungs moved easier, he felt weak in the knees, and found himself leaning heavily on the bed rail as he tried to pull himself together, hiccupping his stifled sobs and sniffling as Daichi stroked his hand.
