Summary
Atsushi gets turned into a baby due to an ability user — with no memories of where he is or who the other agency members are — and he’s stuck like this until the agency figures out how to turn him back. Dazai offers (kidnaps) Atsushi into his dorm and tries to take care of him, and a lot gets discovered about Atsushi and his past — along with behavioral patterns and learned coping mechanisms.

Summary
Atsushi just continues to stare into his eyes, his head turned towards Akutagawa as the sobs don't stop and the tears drip, drip, drip. Their hands still interlocked, hold all the proof that he needs, but he can't help it as the words come out of his mouth once again.
"We're alive."
He smiles weakly through the shaky breaths, and Akutagawa visibly swallows nothing in particular, except the invisible knot that he feels forming in his throat.
"Yeah."

Summary
As he creeps through their dark apartment, Akutagawa's feet drag across the floor. A full day of overseeing market deals and an unexpected gang threatening the Black Lizards. Akutagawa couldn't let bugs undermine his squadron like that so discipline was obviously necessary. His bones and muscles ache for his partner now. The coat on his back feels heavy and at 2am, but the dirt and grime from the day can wait until tomorrow morning.
One year ago, Akutagawa had never dreamed of homesickness, but when he opens the bedroom door to Atsushi reading by the lamplight in bed, he is home.

Summary
A tiger cub peers back at him, blinking its wide, bi-coloured eyes at him. Right. Sure. This is certainly a situation for him to deal with. He rocks back on his heels, watching as the tiger cub, newly exposed to the light of the outside world, follows after his hand and pokes its head out from the confines of Atsushi’s discarded shirt.
It certainly doesn't take a genius to figure out what likely occurred, especially with the odd mist beginning to disperse- lingering far longer than it should have in the first place, especially with the hot afternoon sun overhead. Any mist should have disappeared early in the morning, sun chasing away the sea fret as soon as it began its ascent.
“Well,” he leans forward, gathering the tiger cub and the clothes, watching as his suspicions are confirmed as the cub transforms back into a baby, with the same bi-coloured eyes and horrific haircut as his mentee. “What am I going to do with you?”

Or: Atsushi gets temporarily turned into a baby. Dazai makes it so it's no longer his problem. (It is still, somehow, his problem.)
