Summary
Whatever, or whoever, had decided to make Sirius and Remus roommates, must’ve known that they would need each other. Whatever decided that James should meet the love of his life when she was practically betrothed to one of the biggest political families in Vermont, was a different, cruel, and spiteful force. But, if it was the same force that allowed the two kindest girls at Welton to fall in love (with music, obviously) together, it couldn’t be completely evil.
A Dead Poets Society AU !! I didn’t see one before I started writing, and this is just me having a little fun.

Summary
A shiver trembles through Sirius, racing up his spine, and he blames the crisp air. Remus leans closer, and his lips are parting-- and Sirius shrieks as a chunk of wet, numbing snow is rubbed into his cheek. He squirms beneath him, twisting his head away, but Remus only presses him harder into the glacial ground.
When Remus sits back, Sirius glowers darkly, using his freed arm to wipe his face with his sleeve. He can't quite remember how to breathe, and Remus is still over him, their legs tangled and bent at odd angles.
"You were a lot nicer to me when you were sick." Sirius says.
"I was weak." Remus smiles, and the warmth from his body fades as he gets to his feet. "Don't get used to it."
Of pub quizzes, old films, Chinese takeaways, broken arms, and impassioned discussions of literature: Remus is confusing, and Sirius is just trying to figure him out.

“All I know is I want—” Remus shuts his mouth in a panic. Gulps. Dry mouth. Palpitations. Sweaty palms.
Sirius tilts his head. “What? What do you want?” Gray eyes. Collarbones. Body heat.
“Nothing,” Remus' eyes shift to Sirius’ lips and then quickly back to smoky eyes, “it doesn’t matter.”
“Remus,” Sirius drawls, exasperated. He steps forward and Remus steps back colliding into the wall behind him. Sirius is smirking up at him. And fuck Remus is staring at his lips again.

Non-canon compliment fic based off of atyd, so it contains parallels to MKB89's fic as well as some original characters from that same work. Events from Harry's life still somewhat take place towards the end, but with a few adjustments and some major changes (as in people don't die) AKA THIS IS AN ALL THE YOUNG DUDES FIX IT FIC from october 1981 = everybody lives <3

He looked at Sirius sharply, and for once, matched his grin. “Yeah.”
“Maybe that’s my excuse then,” Sirius said. “I cause a bit of chaos now, and maybe one day, it’ll turn into rock and roll.”After losing his mother at age eleven, Remus has spent the better part of the last four years bouncing from school to school or else running around London and pretending as though he wasn't the kind of well-bred boy his father brought him up to be. Now, with his chances all run out, Remus is sent to Hawkings Independent School as a last-ditch effort to clean up his act. There he meets the very people who will set up the rest of his life, and is forced to confront the pieces of himself he'd long thought had been lost.

Well, he was left heartbroken.
After being rejected by Remus, Sirius was left picking up the pieces of his heart, until he decided enough was enough, and that it was time to move on.
It was then that Remus realized it: He didn't want Sirius to move on.
