The words came out like that, without further ado. And a second later, Yang Cheng's eyes widened and he covered his mouth with his hand, horrified by what he had just done.
But then, Shang Chao let out a small laugh. Not one of mockery. A soft one, one of those that escapes you in the moment without any intention. He put a hand to his ear to adjust a strand of hair that had come loose, and looked at him with those calm eye.
