Aya fixed her gaze somewhere around her knee and tried to think of literally anything but for the press of Hardy’s shoulder against hers, so close and terribly warm. “I — yeah. Sort of. I-It’s just stuff like — like the chemical composition of Nidoran poison, and stuff…”
“…Err, and… and if they get it wrong?”
“Well, they get dumped in the acid vat. Like I said.”

Summary
This series consists of two stories. The first story is Stray Dog, a long fic depicting Denji and Asa Mitaka meeting right before when the events of Chainsaw Man Part 1 begin in canon. There, Asa works as a waitress rather than living in an orphanage with her cat. The second story is Wild Bird, Lost Cat, and Wandering Fox, a much shorter fic that serves as a companion story to Stray Dog. Both stories can be read independently.

Begins a few weeks after the events of The Avengers (2012), but is also post-Endgame, in the sense that it splits off from the same starting point as the Loki TV series. Not compliant with the show.
