Lily Evans is starting her 6th year at Hogwarts and everything seems to be crashing around her. She is fighting for her dignity as a muggle-born as well as a woman in the 1970's. She wants to reconnect with her inccreasingly distant sister, most of all she just wants to feel normal again.
Loosely inspired by Pride and Prejudice
The title is in reference to the song just like a woman by Nina Simone (written by Bob Dylan). Especially the lines:
